Supporting students is a great way to encourage people to experience aged care and hopefully you’ll love it so much you’ll want to join us more permanently later on.
We’re happy to open up our workplace where we can to support student placements from universities, TAFE and other registered training organisations (RTOs). If you’re a student encourage your university, TAFE or RTO to give us a call on (02) 9431 1000
If you’re a student looking for a work experience placement we might be able to help. You may be able to support our lifestyle programs or administration services within the Homes, or spend some time in Allity Services learning about IT, finance, HR or legal.
You will need to be able to show you’re part of a formal work placement program, supported by your educational institution. This is important for insurance purposes.
We are happy to hear from primary and high school groups. Relationships between the young and the elderly can be incredibly beneficial. If you’re a primary or high school teacher who thinks your students might benefit from a visit we’re more than happy to speak with you. Bring your school band, develop a real life history program, or just come and have a chat and have your students hear some amazing stories. We’re open to ideas.
