Queensland Severe Weather and Flooding Updates

Some services in our Bundaberg and Wide Bay areas are currently affected by flooding as a result of recent severe weather.

Residential aged care: 

Fairways Bundaberg: With current flood alerts in the Bundaberg region and likely bridge and road closures, we are working in consultation with emergency services and following advice to shelter in place.

We remain focused on the safety and wellbeing of our residents and employees.

Our teams are experienced in managing severe weather events and our emergency management plan has been activated

We are well prepared with extra food, water and medical supplies on site and additional team members on hand to provide support where needed.

We will continue to update family members as more information becomes available.

Home and community support: Services have been temporarily paused in affected areas including Bundaberg and some parts of Hervey Bay.

Teams have been making welfare calls to ensure affected clients are safe and have sufficient food, medication supplies. We continue to work closely with clients, local health services and emergency services to inform client emergency plans.
